Další plusový bod pro Shopify: Rozhraní už i v češtině

If you are facing the decision of which platform to build your e-shop on, it is completely understandable that you are researching on your own where, what, how and for how much. Advantages, disadvantages. Pros and cons. And if English isn't exactly your strong suit, you may have been put off by the claim on many websites that Shopify is not available in Czech. This appears even in articles from 2020, which one might assume is still up-to-date information. The opposite is true – Czech has now made its way into this Canadian platform too.

Since the team behind Shopify constantly strives to be number one at what it does, it has started focusing on localization into other languages. Currently, you can choose from as many as 21 languages in which the Shopify admin and backend can be displayed. Czech is among them, and what's more – the “(beta)” label recently disappeared from its name. The entire admin area thus guides you in high-quality Czech. No machine translation! Spanish and French, for example, cannot boast of this, as they are still in testing and some pages are still displayed in English.

You choose your Shopify language in your own user profile – not in the e-shop settings, but in your profile. If several user accounts have access to the admin and you work with someone who doesn't speak Czech (or simply prefers another language), your choice will not be reflected in their settings. If you own several e-shops under this particular user account, the setting will apply to each of them. At the same time, you can be sure that this setting does not affect the language in which customers see your online store.

In 2026, Shopify is no longer just one of the “foreign” platforms – it is a full-fledged competitor to traditional Czech solutions as well. Continuous development and a focus on localization, security and automation make it a platform that keeps pace with current e-commerce trends and responds to the real needs of e-shop operators in the Czech Republic. More than 5,000 e-shops in the Czech Republic currently run on Shopify, and the number keeps growing.
